The project investigates Lacan's theory of the Big Other, presented here as a metaphor of Ideology through the lens of language and desire. The Big Other is an abstract symbolic order, an empty container of culture, norms, and laws expressed through discourse. A subject enters this domain the moment they project a desire, unaware of already being inscribed within it, projecting a desire of the Other, not their own. However, The Big Other holds no real existence; it is sustained solely by the subject's desire, becoming a space of question and recognition. The project asks: can a truly subjective desire exist? And can we escape the Other's alienating grip to find a trace of truth in our own?
