Dialectic Engine is a web-based experience that uses doubt as a democratic tool against polarisation and ideological certainty. Rather than telling users what to believe, it invites them to submit a position, opinion, or narrative, which the system then confronts with contradictions, omissions, and alternative perspectives. Inspired by the Hegelian dialectic, the project creates friction between thesis and antithesis, encouraging users to move toward a more complex and self-aware synthesis. By revealing how beliefs are constructed, reinforced, and simplified, Dialectic Engine transforms conspirational thinking into a method of critical inquiry. Its aim is not consensus, but awareness: helping users shift from passive alignment with rigid narratives toward active, independent positioning within a fragmented social landscape.
